Except for pro forma sessions on Tuesday, November 25th at 1:45 p.m. and Friday, November 28th at 5:30 p.m., the Senate stands adjourned until Monday, December 1 at 3:00 p.m. There is one vote that evening at 5:30 p.m.

12:38 p.m. The Senate adjourned and will reconvene at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 27. They will resume consideration of S. 2226, the National Defense Authorization Act FY2024. At 11:30, the Senate will vote on the remaining amendments.

10:12 p.m. Senators Kelly, Hassan, Klobuchar, Warren, Kaine and Reed spoke about the hold on military nominations.

10:11 p.m. Senator Vance asked unanimous consent to change his vote on the Wicker amendment #1055.

10:10 p.m. By a vote of 20-78, the Paul amendment #438 was not agreed to.

Not voting: Senators Durbin and Stabenow.

9:44 p.m. The Senate began voting on the Paul amend #438.

9:34 p.m. By a vote of 50-49, the Senate did not adopt the Wicker amendment #1055 (Inspector General for Ukraine Assistance) to S. 2226, the National Defense Authorization Act FY2024. Senator Durbin did not vote.

9:10 p.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on adoption of the Wicker amendment #1055 (Inspector General for Ukraine Assistance).

9:06 p.m. Senators Murray and Duckworth spoke on the Wicker amendment.

8:02 p.m. Senators Kennedy and Risch spoke on the Wicker amendment.

9:01 p.m. Senator Wicker spoke on his amendment #1055.

9:00 p.m. By a vote of 46-53, the Senate did not adopt the Cruz amendment #421 to S. 2226, the National Defense Authorization Act FY2024. Senators Cassidy and Romney voted No. Senator Durbin did not vote.

8:07 p.m. The Senate began voting on the Cruz amend #421.

7:30 p.m. Senators Shaheen and Duckworth spoke about the hold on military nominations.

7:20 p.m. Senator Schumer announced the following amendments would be in order:

He also filed cloture on the Reed/Wicker amend #935 (substitute) and also on the underlying bill S. 2226.

At 8:00 the Senate will vote on the following amendments with a 60 vote threshold:

4:28 p.m. Senator Schatz spoke on the NDAA and military promotions.

4:20 p.m. Senator Brown paid tribute to departing Senate Dining Room staff member Sharon Cohen.

4:08 p.m. Senator Peters spoke on Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards and asked unanimous consent that the Senate pass H.R. 4470, Protecting and Securing Chemical Facilities from Terrorist Attacks Act of 2023. Senator Paul objected and asked unanimous consent for Senator Peters to modify his request to include his amendment at the desk. Senator Peters objected.

4:00 p.m. The Senate returned from recess.

2:55 p.m. The Senate stands in recess until 4:00 p.m.

2:16 p.m. Senator Fischer spoke about China and the NDAA.

2:15 p.m. The Senate convened.

1:13 p.m. The Senate stands adjourned until 2:15 p.m. to accommodate the weekly caucus lunches.

1:13 p.m. By a vote of 95-2, the Senate adopted the Warnock amendment #199 in relation to, S.2226, FY2024 NDAA (Debt collector harassment).

12:17 p.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on adoption of the Warnock amendment #199 (debt collector harassment) at a 60 vote threshold.

12:14 p.m. Senator Warnock spoke on his amendment #199.

11:26 a.m. Senators Klobuchar, Moran, Blumenthal, Coons, Klobuchar spoke on the Afghan Adjustment Act.

11:05 a.m. Senator Cornyn spoke on border patrol and immigration.

10:51 a.m. Senator Thune spoke on national security and the NDAA.

10:40 a.m. Senator Murray spoke on nuclear waste exposure and health care.

10:32 a.m. Majority Leader Schumer spoke on the NDAA, the one year anniversary of the Inflation Reduction Act, and artificial intelligence.

10:04 a.m. Republican Leader McConnell spoke on the economy and the upcoming visit from the Prime Minister of Italy.

The Senate will convene at 10:00 a.m. and following any leader remarks will resume consideration of S.2226, FY2024 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

At approximately 12:15pm, the Senate will vote on Warnock amendment #199 (debt collector harassment) at a 60 vote threshold.

Following the vote, the Senate will recess until 2:15 p.m. to allow for the weekly caucus meetings.

The Senate will also recess from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. to allow for an all Senators briefing.
