6:59 p.m. Senator Durbin filed cloture on the following nominations:

  • Jerry Edwards, Jr. to be U.S. District Judge for the Western District of Louisiana.
  • Brandon S. Long to be U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana

6:56 p.m. By a vote of 61-29, the Senate confirmed Richard E.N. Federico to be United States Circuit Judge for the Tenth Circuit.

Not voting: Senators Barrasso, Cardin, Cruz, Fetterman, Heinrich, Risch, Schatz, Whitehouse, Wyden, and Young.

5:35 p.m. The Senate is now voting on confirmation of Richard Federico to be United States Circuit Judge for the Tenth Circuit.

5:22 p.m. Senator Merkley spoke about Guatemala.

5:03 p.m. Senator Blackburn spoke about the Tornados in Tennessee, the Senate Judiciary Committee and the southern border.

4:46 p.m. Senator Cornyn spoke on the NDAA.

4:20 p.m. Senator Grassley spoke about the SCOTUS ethics investigations and Hunter Biden.

4:09 p.m. Senator Wicker spoke on the DOD abortion policy.

4:00 p.m. Majority Leader Schumer spoke on Ukraine, the national security supplemental, the NDAA, judicial nominations and student debt relief.

3:43 p.m. Senator Durbin spoke about his trip to Guatemala and Honduras. He also spoke on the national security supplemental and the Dreamers.

3:31 p.m. Republican Leader McConnell spoke about the national security supplemental request and anti-Semitism across college campuses.

3:00 p.m. The Senate convened.

The Senate will convene at 3:00 p.m. and following any Leader remarks will resume consideration of Executive Calendar #352 Richard Federico to be United States Circuit Judge for the Tenth Circuit.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Federico nomination.

Cloture has been filed on the following:
1. The nomination of Harry Coker to be National Cyber Director.
2. Conference report to accompany H.R.2670, the National Defense Authorization Act.

At a time to be determined the Senate will vote on confirmation of the following nominations:
1. Elizabeth Richard to be Coordinator for Counterterrorism, with the rank and status of Ambassador at Large.
2. Martin O’Malley to be Commissioner of Social Security.
