Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of Executive Calendar #138, Daniel Zimmerman, of North Carolina, to be an Assistant Secretary of Defense, post-cloture.
At approximately 2:45 p.m., the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Zimmerman nomination. Following the vote, Senator Husted is expected to give his maiden speech.
The Senate will recess from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
At approximately 5:45 p.m., the Senate will vote on the motion invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #140, Paul Dabbar, of New York, to be Deputy Secretary of Commerce.
