6:22 p.m. Senator Durbin asked unanimous consent that the injunction of secrecy be removed from treaty document 117-3 transmitted to the Senate on July 11, 2022.

6:21 p.m. By a vote of 67-20 the Senate invoked cloture on Executive Calendar #599 Ashish S. Vazirani to be a Deputy Under Secretary of Defense.

Not voting: Senators Blumenthal, Cantwell, Cramer, Kennedy, Leahy, Lujan, Murkowski, Ossoff, Risch, Sasse, Schumer, Sinema, and Whitehouse.

5:30 p.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #599 Ashish S. Vazirani to be a Deputy Under Secretary of Defense.

4:47 p.m. Senators Boozman and Cotton spoke honoring Jeremiah James Story, a Perry County Detention Center Officer who was killed in the line of duty.
