6:08 p.m. Senator |Murkowksi spoke on the Fire Safety Act.

6:06 p.m. Senator Whitehouse wrapped up for the evening. S Res 160, 161 and 162 were agreed to by unanimous consent en bloc.

5:42 p.m. Senator Whitehouse spoke about Justice Thomas, the Supreme Court and financial disclosures.

5:35 p.m. ML Schumer spoke about Senator Feinstein and then asked for unanimous consent for the Senate to consider and pass his resolution to temporarily replace her on the Senate Judiciary Committee. Senator Graham objected.

5:35 p.m. By a vote of 49-50, The Senate did not adopt the Lee Amendment #80.
Not Voting – Senator Feinstein. Senator Manchin voted in favor, Senator Collins voted against.

4:41 p.m. The Senate is currently voting on the Lee amendment #80 (60 vote affirmative threshold)

4:27 p.m. Senator Carper spoke against the Lee amendment.

4:25 p.m. Senator Lee spoke in favor of his amendment.

4:08 p.m. Senator Wicker spoke on Vladimir Kara-Murza.

3:39 p.m. Senators Collins and Carper spoke on the Fire Grants and Safety Act.

3:38 p.m. Majority Leader Schumer received unanimous consent for the cloture motion with respect to S. 870, Fire Grants and Safety Act, be withdrawn and that the Senate vote on the following amendments in relation to S. 870 at a time to be determined:

Lee Amendment #80 (60 vote affirmative threshold)
Scott Amendment #81 (60 vote affirmative threshold)
Hagerty Amendment #72, as modified (60 vote affirmative threshold)

Following disposition of the nominations, amendment #58 will be withdrawn.

At 4:30 p.m., the Senate will vote on Lee amendment #80.

3:37 p.m. By a vote of 59-40, the Senate confirmed the Solomon nomination. Republican senators voting in favor: Collins, Cornyn, Graham, Kennedy, Moran, Murkowski, Romney, Tillis, and Young. Senator Feinstein did not vote.

2:15 p.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on confirmation of the nomination of Amy Lefkowitz Solomon to be an Assistant Attorney General.

1:18 p.m. The Senate recessed until 2:15 p.m. for weekly caucus lunches.

1:17 p.m. By a vote of 58-40, the Senate invoked cloture on the Solomon nomination. Republicans voting in favor: Senators Collins, Cornyn, Graham, Kennedy, Moran, Murkowski, Romney, Tillis and Young. Senators not voting: Feinstein and Gillibrand.

12:27 a.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Amy Lefkowitz Solomon to be an Assistant Attorney General.

12:26 a.m. By a vote of 68-30, the Senate confirmed the nomination of Radha Plumb to be a Deputy Under Secretary of Defense. Republicans voting in favor: Boozman, Capito, Collins, Cramer, Ernst, Fischer, Graham, Grassley, Kennedy, McConnell, Moran, Murkowski, Ricketts, Romney, Rounds, Thune, Tillis, Wicker, and Young. Senators not voting: Feinstein and Gillibrand.

11:25 a.m. The Senate is now voting on confirmation of Radha Iyengar Plumb to be a Deputy Under Secretary of Defense

11:15 a.m, Senator Durbin spoke about Justice Thomas.

10:39 a.m. Senator Thune spoke on the IRS.

10:32 a.m. Majority Leader McConnell spoke about the absence of Senator Feinstein in the Judiciary Committee.

10:17 a.m. Majority Leader Schumer spoke on the debt ceiling, abortion, gun violence, the FBI, Holocaust Remembrance Day, the Fire Grants and Safety Act, Secretary of Labor nomination, and the IRS.

10:00 a.m. The Senate convened.

The Senate will convene at 10:00 a.m. Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of Executive Calendar #19 Radha Iyengar Plumb to be a Deputy Under Secretary of Defense, post-cloture.
