The Senate convenes at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. Following Leader remarks, the Senate will be in a period of Morning Business with senators permitted to speak therein for up to 10 minutes each.
At approximately 11:00 a.m., the Senate will vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #460, Harold D. Mooty III, of Alabama, to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Alabama.
Following the disposition of the Mooty nomination the Senate will recess until 2:15 p.m. to allow for weekly caucus meetings.
At approximately 2:20 p.m. the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Anne-Leigh Gaylord Moe to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of Florida followed by the motion to invoke cloture on William W. Mercer to be United States District Judge for the District of Montana.
If cloture is invoked on the Moe nomination, the Senate will vote on confirmation at approximately 5:30 p.m. If cloture is invoked on the Mercer nomination the Senate will vote on confirmation at a time TBD by the Majority Leader in consultation with the Democratic Leader.
