7:14 p.m. The Senate stands adjourned until Tuesday, September 9th at 10:00 a.m. Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session to resume consideration of the nomination of Maria A. Lanahan to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Missouri.
At approximately 11:45 a.m. the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Lanahan nomination, followed by the motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Robert Law to be Under Secretary for Strategy, Policy, and Plans, Department of Homeland Security.
Following the vote on the Law nomination, the Senate will recess until 2:15 p.m. to allow for weekly caucus lunches.
At approximately 2:15 p.m., if cloture is invoked on the Law nomination, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Law nomination followed by the motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Kyle Christopher Dudek to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of Florida.
If cloture is invoked on the Dudek nomination, there would be up to 2 hours of debate followed by a roll call vote on confirmation of the Dudek nomination.
Additional roll call votes are possible during Tuesday’s session.

ML Thune began the process to place the Executive Resolution on the calendar by objecting to his own request. Objection having been heard, it will lie over one calendar day.
6:46 p.m. By a vote 50-43, the Senate confirmed Edward L. Artau to be United States District Judge for the Southern District of Florida. It was a party line vote with Senators Blunt Rochester, McCormick, Murkowski, Ossoff, Risch, Van Hollen, and Wyden not voting.
5:30 p.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on confirmation of Edward L. Artau to be United States District Judge for the Southern District of Florida.

Minority Leader Schumer objected to Senator Grassley’s request. Senator Grassley then asked unanimous consent that no point of order lie with respect to the following U.S. Attorney General nominees reported out of the Senate Judiciary Committee by voice vote pursuant to the explicit agreement between the offices of chairman and ranking member, whether those nominations are offered individually or pursuant to a resolution: David Waterman, Ronald Parsons, David Metcalf, Bart Davis, Curt Alme, Nicholas Chase, Leslie Murphy, Daniel Rosen, Erik Sieberg, and Kurt Wall.
