Res. 412, an executive resolution authorizing the en bloc consideration in Executive Session of certain nominations on the Executive Calendar, post-cloture. All post-cloture time will expire at 1:30. There will be three votes at 1:30 p.m.:
- Adoption of S. Res. 412. Following disposition of S. Res. 412 other votes are expected in relation to the previous CR proposals:
- Motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to Cal. #167, S.2882, A bill making continuing appropriations for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2026, upon reconsideration
- Motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to Cal. #168, H.R.5371 A bill making continuing appropriations and extensions for fiscal year 2026, upon reconsideration

1:01 p.m. Senator Ricketts spoke on the shutdown.
12:34 p.m. Senator Marshall spoke on health care.
12:21 p.m. Majority Leader Thune spoke on the government shutdown.
12:00 p.m. The Senate is now in session.
The Senate will reconvene at 12:00 p.m. today. Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of S. Res. 412, an executive resolution authorizing the en bloc consideration in Executive Session of certain nominations on the Executive Calendar, post-cloture.
All time during adjournment and Leader remarks will count post-cloture on the resolution.
We do not expect any roll call votes today. At approximately 1:30 p.m. during Friday’s session, the Senate will vote on the adoption of S. Res. 412.
