Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and proceed to the consideration of Executive Calendar #98 Olivia Trusty to be a Member of the Federal Communications Commission for the remainder of the term expiring June 30, 2025.
At approximately 12:00 p.m. the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Trusty nomination (Executive Calendar #98).
Senator Padilla will then be recognized to speak for up to 20 minutes, and following his remarks the Senate will recess until 2:15 p.m. to allow for weekly caucus meetings.
At approximately 2:15 p.m. the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Olivia Trusty to be a Member of the Federal Communications Commission for a term of five years from July 1, 2025 (Executive Calendar #99). The Senate will then vote on confirmation of Gary Andres to be an Assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services.
If cloture is invoked on the Trusty nomination (Executive Calendar #98), the Senate will vote on confirmation at approximately 4:30 p.m. Following disposition of the Trusty nomination (Executive Calendar #98), the Senate will vote on passage of S.1582, GENIUS Act, as amended.
If cloture is invoked on the nomination of Olivia Trusty to be a Member of the Federal Communications Commission for a term of five years from July 1, 2025 (Executive Calendar #99), the Senate will vote on confirmation at a time to be determined by the Majority Leader in consultation with the Democratic Leader on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.
