- Jordan Emery Pratt, of Florida, to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of Florida.
- Edmund G. LaCour, Jr., of Alabama, to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Alabama.
Following the 11:35 a.m. cloture votes, the Senate will recess until 2:15 p.m. for weekly conference meetings. At approximately 2:20 p.m., if cloture is invoked, the Senate will proceed to the confirmation vote of the Pratt nomination.
By unanimous consent, the Senate agreed to the following resolutions en bloc:

6:18 p.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on the confirmation of Bill Lewis to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of Alabama.
6:17 p.m. By a vote of 52-46, the Senate confirmed the nomination of Rebecca L. Taibleson to be United States Circuit Judge for the Seventh Circuit. This was a party-line vote.
- Senators Fetterman and Lummis did not vote.
5:22 p.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on the confirmation of Rebecca L. Taibleson to be United States Circuit Judge for the Seventh Circuit.
4:37 p.m. Senator Grassley spoke about judicial oversight.
4:17 p.m. Senator Cornyn spoke about drug trafficking.
4:01 p.m. Senator Murkowski spoke unpaid government employees working during the shutdown.

At 5:30 p.m. the Senate will proceed to two roll call votes on the following:
• Confirmation of Rebecca L. Taibleson to be United States Circuit Judge for the Seventh Circuit.
• Confirmation of Bill Lewis to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of Alabama.
As a reminder, Cloture has been filed on the following nominations.

Additionally, Notwithstanding Rule XXII, at a time to be determined by the Majority Leader in consultation with the Democratic Leader, no later than Friday, October 31st, it will be in order to discharge the Committee on Finance of S.J.Res.77, S.J.Res.81, and S.J.Res.88, individually, and when discharged, the Senate proceed to its consideration. There will be up to 6 hours for debate only on each joint resolution with the time equally divided between the Leaders or their designees and following the use or yielding back of time, each joint resolution be considered read a third time and the Senate vote on the resolution.
