7:21 p.m. Senator Portman spoke in solidarity with the people of Ukraine.

7:03 p.m. ML Schumer announced by unanimous consent, at a time TBD, the Senate will proceed to the consideration of Executive Calendar #783, James C. O’Brien to be Head of the Office of Sanctions Coordination, with the rank of Ambassador. There will be 30 minutes of debate followed by vote on the nomination.

7:02 p.m. ML Schumer made the motion to discharge from Banking Committee Julia Ruth Gordon to be an Assistant Secretary of Housing & Urban Development.

7:00 p.m. The Senate voted 53-47 on the Motion to discharge Brown Jackson to be an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States.

Republicans voting in favor: Senators Collins, Murkowski and Romney.

6:10 p.m. Leader Schumer spoke in favor of the Brown Jackson nomination and called for the vote on the motion to discharge from the judiciary committee.

5:50 p.m. Leader McConnell spoke in favor of the Brown Jackson nomination.

5:30 p.m. Senator Durbin spoke on the Brown nomination.

5:10 p.m. Senator Blackburn spoke on inflation and immigration policy under Biden.

4:50 p.m. Senator Brown spoke on the causes of inflation.

4:45 p.m. Senator Cornyn spoke on the war in Ukraine.

4:32 p.m. ML Schumer made the motion to discharge the nomination of Ketanji Brown Jackson from the Judiciary Committee. There will now be up to 4 hours of debate.

4:01 p.m. Senator Sanders spoke about workers unionizing at Starbucks.

3:53 p.m. ML Schumer spoke on the nomination of Ketanji Brown Jackson.

3:02 p.m. ML Schumer asked u.c. that he be recognized at 5:00 p.m.

The Senate will convene at 3:00 p.m. and following any Leader remarks, the Senate will be in Executive Session. We expect a motion to discharge the nomination of Ketanji Brown Jackson from the Committee on the Judiciary. Once the motion is made, there would then be up to 4 hours of debate. That vote is not expected before 5:30 p.m.
