Confirmed by voice vote: Katherine Vidal to be Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the Patent and Trademark Office. S. 4008 regarding COVID relief for restaurants had its first reading. S2123 was agreed to by unanimous consent. HR 5681, was passed by unanimous consent.

12:00 p.m. By a vote of 53-47, The Senate agreed to the motion to proceed to Executive Session for the consideration of Executive Calendar #860 Ketanji Brown Jackson to be an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States.

The Senate meets at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5th. The Senate will resume consideration of the motion to discharge from Banking Committee PN1523 Julia Ruth Gordon to be an Assistant Secretary of Housing and Urban Development.  At 10:30 a.m., the Senate will vote on the motion to discharge the Gordon nomination. Following this vote, the Senate will resume Legislative Session, and then ML Schumer is expected to move to proceed to Executive Session in order to consider Executive Calendar #860 Ketanji Brown Jackson to be Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States from the Committee on the Judiciary. A roll call vote is expected on this motion.

At 10:30 a.m., the Senate is expected to vote on:

  1. Motion to discharge from Banking Committee Julia Ruth Gordon to be an Assistant Secretary of Housing & Urban Development
  2. Motion to proceed to Executive Session for the consideration of Exec. Cal. #860 Ketanji Brown Jackson to be an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States
