At approximately 11:00 a.m. the Senate is expected to vote on the motion to proceed to S. Res. 690, Authorizing the en bloc consideration in Executive Session of Certain Nominations on the Executive Calendar. Following the vote, the Senate is then expected to vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to S.4344 – A bill to extend section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 for 3 years.
The Senate will recess from 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. to allow for the weekly caucus meetings and joint meeting.
Additionally, if Senator Kaine makes a motion to discharge S.J.Res.124 – A joint resolution to direct the removal of United States Armed Forces from hostilities within or against the Republic of Cuba that have not been authorized by Congress, from the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, the Senate is expected to vote on the motion to discharge at approximately 5:00 p.m.
