If Senator Kaine makes a motion to discharge S. J. Res. 90, A joint resolution to direct the removal of United States Armed Forces from hostilities within or against Venezuela that have not been authorized by Congress, The Senate will vote at 5:00 p.m. on the motion to discharge S.J. Res. 90 from the Foreign Relations Committee.

  • Senator Paul voted no.

12:57 p.m. By a vote of 57-41, the Senate invoked cloture on the nomination of Caleb Orr to be an Assistant Secretary of State (Economics and Business Affairs).

  • Democrat and Independent Senators Coons, Fetterman, Hassan, King, and Shaheen voted in favor.
  • Senator Paul voted no.
  • Senators Booker and Klobuchar did not vote.

12:15 p.m. The Senate is now voting on the motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Caleb Orr to be an Assistant Secretary of State (Economics and Business Affairs).

12:14 p.m. By a party-line vote of 52-45, the Senate confirmed Eric Chunyee Tung to be United States Circuit Court Judge for the Ninth Circuit.

  • This was a party-line vote with Senators Booker, Klobuchar, and Lee not voting.

11:31 a.m. The Senate began voting on the confirmation of Eric Chunyee Tung, of California, to be United States Circuit Court Judge for the Ninth Circuit.
