Sweeney to be U.S. District Judge for the District of Colorado.

3:15 p.m. Majority Leader Schumer made a motion to proceed to the motion to reconsider Executive Calendar #844 Lisa DeNell Cook to be a Member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. It was agreed to by voice vote and ML Schumer then made a motion to reconsider the motion to invoke cloture on the Cook nomination. The motion was agreed to by voice vote.

3:15 p.m. By a vote of 54-45, the Senate confirmed Executive Calendar #773 Asmeret Asefaw Berhe to be Director of the Office of Science, Department of Energy.

12:33 p.m. By a vote of 75-22, the Senate confirmed the nomination of Ann Claire Phillips to be Administrator of the Maritime Administration.

11:43 a.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #708 Ann Claire Phillips to be Administrator of the Maritime Administration.

ML Schumer spoke on the upcoming vote to codify Roe v. Wade and on additional funding for Ukraine.

The Senate meets at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session to resume consideration of Executive Calendar #708 Ann Claire Phillips, of Virginia, to be Administrator of the Maritime Administration, post-cloture.

At approximately 11:45 a.m., the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Phillips nomination. Following disposition of the nomination, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #773 Asmeret Asefaw Berhe, of California, to be Director of the Office of Science, Department of Energy.

Following the cloture vote, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm to allow for the weekly caucus meetings.

If cloture is invoked on the Berhe nomination, at approximately 2:30pm, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination. Following disposition of the nomination, it is expected that ML Schumer will move to reconsider Executive Calendar #844 Lisa DeNell Cook, of Michigan, to be a Member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, and a roll call vote on cloture on the nomination upon reconsideration.

If the motion is made and cloture is invoked on the Cook nomination upon reconsideration, there will be up to 2 hours of debate prior to a vote on confirmation of the nomination.
