6:59 p.m. By a tally of 70-29, the Senate invoked cloture on the nomination of Merrick Garland to be Attorney General.

6:17 p.m. By a tally of 69-30, the Senate invoked cloture on the Fudge nomination.

5:30 p.m. The Senate began a vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Marcia Fudge to be Secretary of Housing and Urban Development.

5:09 p.m. Senator Tuberville spoke on immigration.

4:54 p.m. Senator Cornyn spoke on the Rescue package.

4:32 p.m. Senator Grassley spoke on academic freedom and free speech as well as on the Garland nomination.

4:17 p.m. Senator Blackburn spoke against the Rescue package.

4:06 p.m. Senator Brown spoke supporting the Fudge nomination.

3:54 p.m. Senator Durbin spoke on the Rescue package and on nominations.
