5:00 p.m. The motion to invoke cloture was invoked on the nomination of Chad A. Readler to the Sixth U.S. Circuit Court by a roll call vote of 53-45.

4:35 p.m. By a party-line vote of 53 to 44, the Senate confirmed the Rushing nomination.

At 4:00 p.m. the Senate will have a series of two roll call votes.

  1. Confirmation of Executive Calendar 15, the nomination of Allison Jones Rushing to the Fourth U.S. Circuit Court.
  2. Cloture on the nomination of Chad A. Readler to the Sixth U.S. Circuit Court

The Senate will convene at 10 a.m. and will resume post-cloture debate on the nomination of Allison Jones Rushing to the Fourth U.S. Circuit Court.

The Senate will recess for party luncheons from 12:30 p.m. until 2:15 p.m.

— Cloture on the nomination of Chad A. Readler to the Sixth U.S. Circuit Court.
