6:21 p.m. Senator Whitehouse paid tribute to the 250th anniversary of the first strike of the war for independence in 1772.

6:21 p.m. The Senate confirmed the Baker nomination, 54-45. Republicans voting in favor: Collins, Hyde-Smith, Murkowski, Tillis and Wicker.

5:42 p.m. The Senate began voting on confirmation of the nomination of Shalanda Baker to be Director of the Office of Minority Economic Impact, Department of Energy.

The Senate will convene at 10:00 a.m. and following any Leader remarks, will resume consideration of the nomination of Alex Wagner to be an Assistant Secretary of the Air Force.

At approximately 11:30am, the Senate will proceed to two roll call votes:
1, Confirmation of the Wagner nomination.
2. Cloture on the motion to proceed to H.R.3967, regarding health care and benefits for veterans exposed to toxic substances.

Following the cloture vote, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm to allow for the weekly caucus luncheons. 

At approximately 4:00 p.m., the Senate will proceed to three roll call votes: 
1. Confirmation of the nomination of Chavonda Jacobs-Young to be Under Secretary of Agriculture for Research, Education, and Economics.
2. Confirmation of the nomination of Kenneth Wainstein to be Under Secretary for Intelligence and Analysis, Department of Homeland Security.
