Announced schedule for Wednesday: The Senate will convene at 10:00 a.m. At that time, following any leader remarks the Senate will be in morning business until 11:30 a.m.

At 11:30 a.m. the Senate will proceed to two votes:
1. Confirmation of the nomination of Tiffany Cartwright to be a district judge for western Washington.
2. Cloture on the nomination of Myong Joun to be a district judge for Massachusetts.

At 2:30 p.m. the Senate will proceed to two votes:
1. Confirmation of the Joun nomination.
2. Cloture on the nomination of Kalpana Kotagal to be a member of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

At 5:30 p.m. the Senate will proceed to two votes:
1. Confirmation of the Kotagal nomination.
2. Cloture on the nomination of David Uhlmann to be an Assistant Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency

6:40 p.m. Senator Murkowski spoke on energy, mining and Graphite.

6:25 p.m. By a vote of 49-42, the Senate invoked cloture on the Cartwright nomination.

5:48 p.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on cloture on the nomination of Tiffany Cartwright to be a District Judge for the Western District of Washington.

5:47 p.m. By a vote of 50-42, the Senate confirmed the nomination of Kymberly Kathryn Evanson to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Washington.

Republicans voting in favor: Senators Collins, Graham, and Murkowski.

Not voting: Senators Cotton, Durbin, Hickenlooper, King, Ricketts, Shaheen, Sullivan, and Tillis.

5:20 p.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on confirmation of the nomination of Kymberly Kathryn Evanson to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Washington.

5:19 p.m. By a vote of 51-42, the Senate confirmed the nomination of Rosemarie Hidalgo to be Director of the Violence Against Women Office, Department of Justice. Republican senators voting in favor: Collins, Graham, and Murkowski. Senators not voting: Cotton, Durbin, King, Ricketts, Shaheen, Sullivan, and Tillis.

4:30 p.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on confirmation of the nomination of Rosemarie Hidalgo to be Director of the Violence Against Women Office, Department of Justice

4:26 p.m. Senator Cantwell spoke in support of the Evanson and Cartwright nominations.

4:20 p.m. Senator Murray spoke in support of the Evanson and Cartwright nominations.

4:04 p.m. Senator Cruz spoke on privacy regarding smart devices and asked unanimous consent that the Senate pass H.R. 538, Informing Consumers about Smart Devices Act, and the Cruz-Cantwell substitute amendment. Senator Paul objected.

3:18 p.m. By a vote of 51-42, the Senate invoked cloture on the nomination of Kymberly Evanson to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Washington. Republicans senators voting yes: Collins, Graham, and Murkowski. Senators not voting: Barrasso, Durbin, King, Ricketts, Shaheen, Sullivan, and Tillis.

2:15 p.m. The Senate is now voting on the motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Kymberly Kathryn Evanson to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Washington.

The Senate will convene on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of the nomination of Xochitl Torres Small to be Deputy Secretary of Agriculture, post-cloture.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., the Senate will proceed to two roll call votes relative to the following:

1)Confirmation of the nomination of Xochitl Torres Small to be Deputy Secretary of Agriculture.

2)Motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Rosemarie Hidalgo to be Director of the Violence Against Women Office, Department of Justice.

Following the Hidalgo vote, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm to allow for the weekly caucus luncheons.

At approximately 2:15 p.m., the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Kymberly Kathryn Evanson to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Washington.

The Senate will recess from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. to allow for an All Senators briefing.

At approximately 4:30 p.m., if cloture is invoked, the Senate will proceed to a series of roll call votes relative to the following:

1) Confirmation of the nomination of Rosemarie Hidalgo to be Director of the Violence Against Women Office, Department of Justice.

2) Confirmation of the nomination of Kymberly Kathryn Evanson to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Washington.
