1:53 p.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on adoption of S. Res. 417, a resolution standing with Israel against terrorism.

1:49 p.m. Majority Leader Schumer spoke on S. Res. 417, supporting Israel.

1:45 p.m. Majority Leader Schumer filed cloture on the following nominations:

  1. Exec. Cal. 364 Michael G. Whitaker to be Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration for the term of 5 years.
  2. Exec. Cal. 116 Jessica Looman to be Administrator of the Wage and Hour Division, Department of Labor.

1:24 p.m. Senator Hawley spoke on the situation in Israel and asked unanimous consent to take up and pass S. Res. 418 on that topic. Senator Van Hollen objected.
