3:46 p.m. The Senate has adjourned and will next convene on Monday, July 18 at 3:00 p.m. Following Leader Remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of Executive Calendar #1035 Nina Nin-Yuen Wang to be U.S. District Judge for the District of Colorado.

At 5:30 p.m. the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Wang nomination.

At a time to be determined by the Majority Leader, in consultation with the Republican Leader, the Senate will vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #968 Julianna Michelle Childs, of South Carolina, to be United States Circuit Judge for the District of Columbia Circuit.

3:11 p.m. Senator Sullivan spoke on the National Environmental Policy Act and energy.

2:38 p.m. Senator Cardin spoke about high drug costs and the NIH.

2:19 p.m. By a vote of 58-33, the Senate invoked cloture on the nomination of Julianne M. Childs to be U.S. Circuit Judge for the District of Columbia Circuit.
-GOP voting in favor: Senators Blackburn, Burr, Capito, Collins, Cornyn, Graham, Grassley, Murkowski, Romney, Rounds, Scott of SC, Tillis and Young.

Not Voting – Blumenthal, Cramer, Hagerty, Leahy, Lujan, Markey, Portman, Sasse and Schumer.

1:46 p.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Julianne M. Childs to be U.S. Circuit Judge for the District of Columbia Circuit.

Senators Blunt, Burr, Collins, Cornyn, Graham, and Tillis voted in favor. Senators Blumenthal, Cramer, Hagerty, Leahy, Lujan, Markey, Sanders, Sasses, and Schumer did not vote.

12:02 p.m. The Senate began a vote on confirmation of the nomination of Kate Heinzelman to be General Counsel of the CIA.

11:42 a.m. Senator Cortez Masto spoke supporting the freedom to travel for healthcare legislation. Senator Cortez Masto asked unanimous consent to call up an pass S. 4504, A bill to protect freedom of travel and reproductive rights. Senator Lankford objected.

11:39 a.m. Senator Daines spoke on abortion.

10:51 a.m. Senators Klobuchar, Bennet, Wyden, Hickenlooper, Whitehouse, Cantwell, Cortez Masto, Brown and Murray spoke on the freedom to travel for healthcare legislation.
