  • Wilbur Ross to be Secretary of Commerce
  • Ryan Zinke to be Secretary of the Interior
  • Benjamin  Carson to be Secretary of Housing and Urban Affairs
  • James Richard Perry to be Secretary of Energy

7:55 p.m. The nomination of David Shulkin was confirmed by a vote of 100 to 0.

7:39 p.m. The Senate is currently voting on the nomination of David Shulkin to be the Secretary of the VA.

7:34 p.m. Senators Isakson and Tester spoke in favor of the Shulkin nomination.

7:34 p.m. The nomination of Mnuchin is confirmed by a vote of 53 to 47, with Senator Manchin voting in favor. The motion to table the motion to reconsider the nomination of Mnuchin was tabled by voice vote.

7:04 p.m. The Senate is now voting on the nomination Steve Mnuchin to be the Secretary of the Treasury.

  • The Senate will convene at 12:00 p.m. and resume consideration of the nomination of Steven Mnuchin to be Secretary of the Treasury; with seven hours of post-cloture debate remaining.
  • At approximately 7:00 p.m., the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Mnuchin nomination.
  • Following disposition of the Mnuchin nomination, the Senate will immediately proceed to the consideration of the nomination of David Shulkin to be Secretary of Veterans Affairs for ten minutes, after which proceed to a roll call vote on confirmation of the nomination.
