6:42 p.m. Senator Lee spoke on immigration and asked UC to take up S. 4387. Senator Murphy objected.

5:45 p.m. Senator Ossoff locked in that the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Dalton nomination at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, and cloture on the motion to proceed to S. 4361 at 2:00 p.m. He then spoke about immigration.

5:43 p.m. The Senate invoked cloture on the Dalton nomination, 56-38.

4:39 p.m. By a vote of 50-44, the Senate invoked confirmed Dena M. Coggins to be US District Judge for the Eastern District of California.

  • Senators Collins & Graham vote in favor.
  • Senators Hagerty, Hawley, Manchin, Menendez, Mullin, & Tester did not vote.

3:37 p.m. The Senate is now voting on confirmation of Dena M. Coggins to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of California.

Republican senators voting in favor: Capito, Cassidy, Collins, Cramer, Crapo, Graham, Hoeven, Lankford, Lummis, Marshall, McConnell, Moran, Murkowski, Risch, Romney, Tillis, Wicker, and Young. Senators not voting: Hagerty, Hawley, Manchin, Menendez, Mullin, and Tester.

11:34 a.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on confirmation of Angela M. Martinez to be United States District Judge for the District of Arizona.

11:31 a.m. Majority Leader Schumer spoke on the Martinez nomination.

11:23 a.m. Senator Durbin spoke on judicial nominations.

11:11 a.m. Senator Welch spoke on Israel.

11:04 a.m. Senator Thune spoke on student loans.

10:59 a.m. Senator Cotton spoke on Israel and asked unanimous consent for the Senate to pass H.R. 8369 Israel Security Assistance Support Act. Senator Welch objected.

10:32 a.m. Republican Leader McConnell spoke on China and energy.

10:17 a.m. Majority Leader Schumer spoke on former President Trump, judicial nominations, border security, the farm bill and contraception.
