At approximately 12:00 p.m., the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the compound motion to go to conference on H.R.4521.

If cloture is invoked, at approximately 1:45 p.m., the Senate will vote on the compound motion to go to conference.

7:38 p.m. Majority Leader Schumer began wrap up:

  • S.Con.Res. 35, A bill to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to provide an exemption from gross income and so forth.
  • S.Con.Res. 36, Honoring the life and legacy of Ulysses S. Grant in commemoration of his 200th birthday.
  • S.Res 588, A resolution designating April 2022 as “Financial Literacy Month”.
  • S.Res. 597, Recognizing the Hispanic Association of colleges and universities national internship program and so forth.
  • S.Res. 598, Congratulating the Glennville State women’s basketball team for winning the NCAA Division II women’s basketball championship.

6:44 p.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on the motion to proceed to S.J.Res.41, a joint resolution providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Department of Health and Human Services relating to “Ensuring Access to Equitable, Affordable, Client-Centered, Quality Family Planning Services.”

The Senate will convene at 2:00 p.m. and following any Leader remarks, will resume consideration of Executive Calendar #800, Sherilyn Garnett to be United States District Judge for the Central District of California.

At approximately 3:30 p.m., the Senate will vote on cloture on the Garnett nomination.

If cloture is invoked, after up to two hours of debate, the Senate would vote on confirmation of the nomination.

Absent an agreement, upon disposition of the Garnett nomination, the Senate will vote on cloture on the nomination of Julia Gordon to be an Assistant Secretary of Housing and Urban Development.

The Senate is also expected to consider S.J.Res.41, a joint resolution providing for congressional disapproval of the rule submitted by the Department of Health and Human Services relating to “Ensuring Access to Equitable, Affordable, Client-Centered, Quality Family Planning Services.”
