6:10 p.m. Senator Barrasso spoke in favor of the WRDA legislation.

6:05 p.m. The Senate voted 96 – 3 on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to concur in the House amendments to accompany S.3021, Water Infrastructure. Senator Booker was absent while Senators Burr, Lee and Schatz voted against.

5:20 p.m. Senator Tester spoke on health care.

5:03 p.m. Senator Grassley spoke thanking staff working on the Kavanaugh confirmation process.

4:46 p.m. Senator Cardin spoke supporting S. 3021, the WRDA bill.

4:28 p.m. Senator Durbin spoke about health care.

4:17 p.m. Senator Boozman spoke supporting the WRDA bill.

The Senate will convene at 3:00 pm. Following any Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of the House message to accompany S.3021, Water Infrastructure (WRDA).

At 5:30 pm, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to concur in the House amendments to accompany S.3021, Water Infrastructure.

ML McConnell also filed cloture on the following Executive nominations:
1.      Executive Calendar #640, Jeffrey Bossert Clark, of Virginia, to be an Assistant Attorney General
2.      Executive Calendar #641, Eric S. Dreiband, of Maryland, to be an Assistant Attorney General
3.      Executive Calendar #866, James N. Stewart, of North Carolina, to be an Assistant Secretary of Defense.
The first cloture vote on the nominations would occur upon disposition of WRDA. If cloture is invoked, there would be up to 30 hours of post-cloture debate prior to a vote on confirmation. Then, there would be a cloture vote on the next nomination, with the same process until all three nominations have been considered.
