5:30 p.m. The Senate agreed to the Motion to Invoke Cloture on the nomination of David Zatezalo, of West Virginia, to be Assistant Secretary of Labor for Mine Safety and Health by a vote of 52-45.

4:33 p.m. The Senate is now voting on confirmation of Steven Bradbury to be General Counsel of the Department of Transportation.

4:13 p.m. Senator McCain spoke against the Bradbury nomination.

3:56 p.m. Senator Feinstein spoke against the Bradbury nomination.

2:53 p.m. Senators Reed and Duckworth spoke against the Bradbury nomination.

The Senate convened at 10 a.m. and was to resume post-cloture consideration of Steven Bradbury’s nomination to be general counsel of the Transportation Department.
