6:26 p.m. Majority Leader Schumer wrapped up for the evening, including confirming Craig Anderson to be a US Marshal for Montana.

6:25 p.m. The Senate invoked cloture on the Crane nomination, 56-40. Republicans in favor: Cassidy, Collins, Graham and Murkowski. Senators not voting: Cotton, Hoeven, Moran, Murray, Risch & Sullivan.

5:27 p.m. The Senate is now voting on the motion to invoke cloture on David Crane to be Under Secretary of Energy.

5:23 p.m. Senator Barrasso spoke against the nomination of David Crane to be Under Secretary of Energy.

5:10 p.m. Majority Leader Schumer filed cloture on Executive Calendar #166 Molly R. Silfen to be a Judge of the United States Court of Federal Claims for a term of fifteen years

4:57 p.m. Senator Blackburn spoke about the VA.

4:45 p.m. Senator Cornyn spoke on inflation and the business of the Senate.

4:32 p.m. Senator Grassley spoke on Congressional oversight of the Justice Department and FBI.

3:39 p.m. Senator Durbin spoke about NATO, gun violence, paid tribute to Hadiya Pendleton, democracy in Venezuela and SCOTUS ethics.

3:31 p.m. Republican Leader McConnell spoke about the budget.

3:09 p.m. Majority Leader Schumer spoke about the upcoming all senators briefings on AI, nominations and democrat priorities.

3:00 p.m. The Senate convened.

The Senate will convene at 3:00 p.m., following Leader remarks the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of the nomination of David Crane to be Under Secretary of Energy.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Crane nomination.
