6:18 p.m. The Senate stands adjourned until 10:45 a.m, Wednesday June 14th.

At 10:45 a.m. Following any Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of S.722, Iran Sanctions.

At 1:00 pm, there will be a filing deadline for all first degree amendments to S.722.

At 2:00 pm, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on adoption of Crapo amendment #232, as modified, (re: Russia Sanctions) to S.722.

ML  Leader filed cloture on both the committee reported substitute amendment to S.722, and the underlying bill S.722. and Senate passed by UC Cal.#92, S.831 – Scott Bashioum Post Office Building, during wrap up.

5:03 p.m. Senator Kennedy spoke on the reauthorization of the flood insurance program.

4:47 p.m. Senator Cotton spoke in favor of the Iran sanctions bill.

4:24 p.m. Senator Crapo spoke in support of his amendment.

4:10 p.m. Senator Whitehouse spoke on climate change.

3:41 p.m. Senators Corker, Cardin, and Klobuchar engaged in a colloquy on the Crapo amendment.

3:29 p.m. Senator Brown spoke on Russia and later spoke about press freedoms.

3:00 p.m. Senator Flake spoke on Cuba policy.

2:56 p.m. ML McConnell achieved UC to vote on the Crapo amdt to
S. 722, Iran Sanctions at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday.

2:55 p.m. Motion to discharge S.J.Res. 42, was not agreed to 47-53.

Senators voting in favor: 41 Democrats, 4 Republicans (Heller, Lee, Paul and Young), 2 Independents (King and Sanders).

Senators voting against: 48 Republicans, 5 Democrats (Donnelly, Manchin, McCaskill, Nelson and Warner).

2:25 p.m. Roll call vote began on motion to discharge S.J.Res. 42, disapproving the Saudi Arms Sale.

2:21 p.m. Senator Corker spoke about S. J. Res. 42.

2:19 p.m. Senator Paul spoke about S.J. Res. 42.

2:16 p.m. Senators McCain and Graham spoke against S.J. Res. 42.

12:33 p.m. The Senate recessed for the weekly caucus luncheons until 2:15 p.m.

12:30 p.m. Senator Schumer spoke about the Saudi arms sale.

12:16 p.m. Senator Murphy spoke on Saudi arms sales.

12:06 p.m. Senator Graham spoke on the Iran sanctions bill.

11:34 a.m. Senators Young and Sanders spoke supporting S.J.Res. 42.

10:27 a.m. Senator Paul spoke supporting the motion to discharge  S.J.Res. 42, disapproving the Saudi Arms Sale.

10:15 a.m. Senator Schumer spoke about the bipartisan agreement on S. 722, Iran Sanctions, the vilification of Mr. Mueller, and concerns about forthcoming health care legislation.

10:02 a.m. Majority Leader McConnell spoke about the need to hold Iran accountable for its actions, supporting the Saudi Arabian arms sale, the VA Accountabilty legislation, and the economy.


The Senate will convene at 10 a.m. Tuesday. After leader remarks,  Senator Paul will be recognized until 12:30 p.m. for debate of a motion to discharge S.J. Res. 42, disapproving the Saudi arms sale.

The Senate will recess for caucus luncheons from 12:30 p.m. until 2:15 p.m., whereupon Senator Paul will again be recognized on the Saudi arms discharge motion.

At about 2:25 p.m. Tuesday, the Senate will vote on the Paul motion to discharge.

The Senate will then resume debate on the Iran sanctions bill.
