The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Wednesday, June 12, 2024.

Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session to resume consideration of Executive Calendar #669, David Rosner, of Massachusetts, to be a Member of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for a term expiring June 30, 2027, post-cloture.

At approximately 11:30am the Senate will vote on the confirmation of the Rosner nomination, followed by the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #670, Lindsay S. See, of West Virginia, to be a Member of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for a term expiring June 30, 2028.

The Senate will then recess until 2:15pm to allow for weekly caucus meetings.

If cloture is invoked, at approximately 2:15pm the Senate will vote on confirmation of the See nomination, followed by the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #668, Judy W. Chang, of Massachusetts, to be a Member of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for a term expiring June 30, 2029.

6:30 p.m. The Senate passed he motion to invoke cloture on David Rosner to be a member of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission by a roll call vote of 67-24.

5:27 p.m. The Senate is now voting on the motion to invoke cloture on David Rosner to be a member of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

5:20 p.m. Senator Manchin spoke in support of David Rosner to be a member of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

5:14 p.m. Senator Carper spoke in support of the Rosner, See, and Chang nominations to the FERC.

4:50 p.m. Senator Cortez Masto paid tribute to John Drendel and Tom Rodriguez, two gentlemen from Nevada who died earlier this year.

4:35 p.m. Senator Cornyn spoke about the repetitive votes for show on the Senate floor this week.

4:30 p.m. Senator Markey spoke about the unlawful detention of Armenian prisoners of war and other human rights violations.

4:25 p.m. Senator Scott spoke in favor of invitrofertization.

4:15 p.m. Senator Warren spoke about Rich Cordray, the first Director of the CFCB appointed under President Obama.

3:57 p.m. Senator Sanders spoke on prescription drugs.

3:43 p.m. Senator Durbin spoke on the Dream Act and deferred action for childhood arrivals (DACA).

3:32 p.m. Majority Leader Schumer spoke on the situation in Israel and later on access to IVF and nominations to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission this week.

3:21 p.m. Republican Leader McConnell spoke on the situation in Israel and protests here in the US related to that war. He later spoke on judicial nominations.

3:00 p.m. The Senate convened.

The Senate will convene at 3:00 p.m. and following any leader remarks, will resume consideration of the nomination of of David Rosner to be a member of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

At 5:30 p.m., the Senate will vote on cloture on the Rosner nomination.
