5:25 p.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #51 Damon Leichty to be U.S.District Judge for the Northern District of Indiana.

5:24 p.m. The Senate invoked cloture on Executive Calendar #47 T. Kent Wetherell II to be U.S.District Judge for the Northern District of Florida by a vote of 82-16.

5:15 p.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #47 T. Kent Wetherell II to be U.S.District Judge for the Northern District of Florida.

5:12 p.m. The Senate confirmed the nomination of Daniel Bress, to be U.S. Circuit Judge for the Ninth Circuit by a vote of 53-45.

4:31 p.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on confirmation of Daniel Bress to the 9th Circuit.

4:30 p.m. Senator Cortez Masto spoke about the Affordable Care Act.

3:31 p.m. Senators Murphy, Blumenthal, Manchin, Murray, Brown, Stabenow, and Wyden spoke about the Affordable Care Act.

  • The Senate will convene at 10:00 a.m. and resume consideration of the nomination of Daniel Bress to be a Judge for the Ninth Circuit.

 

  • The Senate will recess from 12:30 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. for the weekly caucus luncheons. 

 

  • At 4:30 p.m.,the Senate will proceed to 4 roll call votes relative to the following:

 

  • Confirmation of the nomination of Daniel Aaron Bress to be a Judge for the Ninth Circuit.
  • Cloture on the nomination of Kent Wetherell to be a Judge for the Northern District of Florida.
  • Cloture on the nomination of Damon Leichty to be a Judge for the Northern District of Indiana.
  • Cloture on the nomination of Nicholas Ranjan to be a Judge for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

At a time to be determined on Wednesday, the Senate will vote on confirmation of any of the above nominations that achieved cloture.
