Leader Schumer then offered his amendment #6 to the underlying bill. Leader McConnell then filed cloture on both amendments and asked they be treated as ripened by 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, when the Senate will vote on both amendments. The Senate then resumed the Motion to Proceed to S.1, Strengthening America’s Security in the Middle East Act of 2019.
