9:08 p.m. The Senate invoked cloture on the motion to proceed to HR 2872 by a tally of 68-13.
Senators voting against: Braun, Britt, Budd, Crapo, Cruz, Johnson, Lee, Marshall, Paul, Risch, Scott, Scott and Vance.

8:07 p.m. The Senate began voting on cloture on the motion to proceed to HR 2872, the vehicle for the CR.

8:06 p.m. The Senate tabled the Sanders motion to discharge S Res 604, 72-11. Voting no: Butler, Heinrich, Hirono, Lujan, Markey, Merkley, Paul, Sanders, Van Hollen, Warren and Welch.

7:05 p.m. The Senate began voting on the motion to table the motion to discharge S Res 604.

6:30 p.m. Senator Sanders called up S.Res.504, in relation to the motion to discharge the Committee on Foreign Relations from further consideration of S.Res.504, requesting information on Israel’s human rights practices pursuant to section 502B(c) of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 and asked unanimous consent for himself and Senators Merkley and Cardin to speak before the vote.

5:20 p.m. Senator Graham spoke against S.Res.504, in relation to the motion to discharge the Committee on Foreign Relations from further consideration of S.Res.504, requesting information on Israel’s human rights practices pursuant to section 502B(c) of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961.

5: 00 p.m. Senator Durbin pushed the 5:30 votes back to 6:45 p.m. due to Senator Sanders delayed travel.

4:10 p.m. Senator Kaine spoke on freedom of religion.

3:59 p.m. Senator Cornyn spoke on the war in Israel.

3:49 p.m. Senator Durbin spoke on the 2024 elections and political violence.

3:27 p.m. Republican Leader McConnell spoke about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the CR, Iran and the national security supplemental.

3:13 p.m. Majority Leader Schumer spoke about the winter storms. the CR, the Wyden-Smith tax deal, and the national security supplemental.

The Senate will convene today at 3:00 p.m. Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of the motion to proceed to Calendar #243, H.R.2872, the legislative vehicle for the Continuing Resolution.

During Thursday’s session, Majority Leader Schumer filed cloture on the motion to proceed to the bill. That cloture motion will ripen at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

If a motion to discharge the Committee on Foreign Relations from further consideration of S.Res.504 is made during Tuesday’s session, the Senate will vote in relation to the motion to discharge at 5:30pm on Tuesday.
