The Senate convened at 10 a.m. for a pro forma session only, Senator Hatch presiding. No business was conducted.

Pro formas to come: Friday, Aug. 10 at 10:30 a.m.  and Tuesday Aug. 14 at 1 p.m.

Next regular session: Wed., Aug 15 at noon. There will be a cloture vote at 5:30 p.m.  on the nomination of A. Marvin Quattlebaum Jr. of South Carolina to the Fourth U.S. Circuit Appeals Court.
