7:00 p.m. Senator McConnell announced that the Senate will convene on Friday, October 5  at 9:30 a.m. Setting the cloture vote on the Kavanaugh nomination for 10:30 a.m.

The Majority Leader has filed cloture on the Kavanaugh nomination. The cloture petition will ripen one hour after the Senate convenes on Friday.
