2:07 p.m. Senator Menendez spoke on judicial security and asked unanimous consent for the Senate to proceed to and vote on S. 2340 Daniel Anderl Judicial Security and Privacy Act of 2021. Senator Paul asked unanimous consent to modify the request to include his amendment. Senator Booker spoke on the modification request. Senator Menendez objected to the modification request. Senator Paul objected to the original request.

1:20 p.m. By a vote of 52-43 the Senate invoked cloture on Executive Calendar #969 Ana Isabel de Alba to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of California.

Senators Collins, Graham and Murkowski joined all Democrats and voted Yes.

By unanimous consent, all time during adjournment, recess, Morning Business, and Leader remarks will count post-cloture on the bill.

At approximately 11:15 a.m., the Senate will vote on passage of H.R.3987, and on the motions to invoke cloture on the Alba and Boyle nominations. If cloture is invoked on either nomination, the confirmation votes will occur at a time to be determined by the Majority Leader in consultation with the Republican Leader.

An additional roll call vote is possible at approximately 1:45 p.m., on motion to discharge the nomination of Steven M. Dettelbach, of Ohio, to be Director, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, from the Judiciary Committee (if there is a tie vote in committee).
