5:05 p.m. The Senate adjourned and will reconvene for a pro forma session only at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, July 14. When they adjourn on Friday they will stand adjourned until 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18. They will resume consideration of the nomination of Rachel Bloomekatz, postcloture. At 5:30 the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination followed by a vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to Cal.#119, S.2226, FY2024 NDAA.

2:30 p.m. By a vote of 50-45, the Senate invoked cloture on Rachel Bloomekatz to be United States Circuit Judge for the Sixth Circuit.

1:26 p.m. Majority Leader Schumer filed cloture on the motion to proceed to S.2226, the The National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2024

1:26 p.m. By a vote of 51-44, the Senate invoked cloture on David M. Uhlmann to be an Assistant Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency.

12:30 p.m. The Senate began a vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #141 David M. Uhlmann to be an Assistant Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency.

12:29 p.m. The Senate confirmed the nomination of Kalpana Kotagal to be a member of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission by a vote of 49-47. Senator Manchin voted against the nomination.

Not voting: Senators Blackburn, Fetterman, Hawley and Vance.

11:30 a.m. The Senate began voting on confirmation of the nomination of Kalpana Kotagal to be a member of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

The Senate will convene at 10:00 a.m. and following any Leader remarks, will resume consideration of the nomination of Kalpana Kotagal to be a Member of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., the Senate will proceed to two votes:
1. Confirmation of the Kotagal nomination.
2. Cloture on the nomination of David Uhlmann to be an Assistant Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency.

At approximately 1:45 p.m., the Senate will proceed one vote on cloture on the nomination of Rachel Bloomekatz to be United States Circuit Judge for the Sixth Circuit.
