The Senate will convene at 10:00 a.m. Following Leader remarks, the Senate will be in a period of Morning Business with Senators permitted to speak therein for up to ten minutes each.
At 11:30 a.m. the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on S.Res. 690, an executive resolution authorizing the en bloc consideration in Executive Session of certain nominations on the Executive Calendar. If cloture is invoked on the resolution all post-cloture time will be considered expired and the Senate will vote on adoption of the resolution at a time to be determined by the Majority Leader in consultation with the Democratic Leader no earlier than Friday, May 1st.
At 1:45 p.m. the Senate is expected to vote on the motion to discharge from the Senate Foreign Relations Committee S.J.Res. 184, A joint resolution to direct the removal of United States Armed Forces from hostilities within or against the Islamic Republic of Iran that have not been authorized by Congress. Further roll call votes may be possible during Thursday’s Senate session.
