7:00 p.m. The Senate stands adjourned until 10:30am on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of Executive Calendar #231, Margaret Irene Strickland, of New Mexico, to be United States District Judge for the District of New Mexico. At approximately 11:30am, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Strickland nomination. Following the cloture vote, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm to allow for the weekly caucus meetings. If cloture is invoked, at 2:30pm, all post-cloture time will be considered expired, and the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Strickland nomination. During Monday’s session, Senator Schumer filed cloture on the following nominations: 1. Executive Calendar #169, Lily Lawrence Batchelder, of Massachusetts, to be an Assistant Secretary of the Treasury. 2. Executive Calendar #245, Jayme Ray White, of Washington, to be a Deputy United States Trade Representative. 3. Executive Calendar #341, Florence Y. 6:17 p.m. Rossman nomination was confirmed 50-42.

5:30 p.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on confirmation of Veronica Rossman to be United States Circuit Judge for the Tenth Circuit.

5:08 p.m. Senator Tuberville spoke on taxes and China.

5:03 p.m. Senator Grassley spoke on immigration.

4:46 p.m. Senator Cornyn spoke on immigration.

4:40 p.m. Senator Manchin paid tribute to John Kennedy Bailey.

4:21 p.m. Senator Whitehouse spoke on the Supreme Court.

4:07 p.m. Senator Durbin spoke on the ruling by the Parliamentarian and on the pandemic.

3:55 p.m. Senator Fischer spoke on precision agriculture technology.

3:32 p.m. RL McConnell spoke on the recent ruling by the Parliamentarian and on the debt limit.

3:13 p.m. ML Schumer spoke on the continuing resolution, on judicial nominations and raising the debt limit.

3:00 p.m. The Senate convened.

The Senate will convene at 3:00 p.m. and following Leader remarks, will resume consideration of Executive Calendar #231, Margaret Strickland to be United States District Judge for the District of New Mexico.

At 5:30 p.m. the Senate will resume consideration of Executive Calendar #251, Veronica Rossman to be United States Circuit Judge for the Tenth Circuit and immediately vote on confirmation of the nomination.

At 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 21st, the Senate will proceed to a cloture vote on the Strickland nomination.
