6:40 p.m. The Senate adjourned tonight at 6:40 p.m. and will reconvene tomorrow Tuesday September 20th at 10:00 a.m. Following leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of the nomination of Florence Pan to be United States Circuit Judge for the District of Columbia Circuit, post cloture.

At a 11:30 a.m. the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Pan Nomination.
Following the 11:30 a.m. Vote the senate will recess until 2:15 p.m. to allow for the weekly caucus meetings.

At approximately 2:15 p.m. the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Resolution of ratification with respect to Calendar #2 Treaty document 117-1 Amendment to Montreal Protocol(“Kigali Amendment”).

6:38 p.m. By a vote of 52-38 the Senate invoked cloture on the Pan nomination.

Republicans voting Aye: Senators Collins, Grassley, Murkowski, Portman and Rounds.

5:30 p.m. The Senate began a vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #1067 Florence Y. Pan to be United States Circuit Judge for the District of Columbia Circuit.

5:03 p.m. Senator Blackburn spoke about crime.

5:00 p.m. ML Schumer filed cloture on the following:
-The motion to proceed to Cal. #484, S.4822, DISCLOSE Act.
-Executive Calendar #1055 Amanda Bennett to be Chief Executive Officer of the United States Agency for Global Media.
-Executive Calendar #1097 Arati Prabhakar to be Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy.

4:15 p.m. Senator Cornyn spoke about the DOJ and immigrataion.

4:05 p.m. ML Schumer spoke about the Tornadoes in Puerto Rico, Judicial Nominations, upcoming legislation on Treaties and the DISCLOSE Act.

4:04 p.m. The Chair announced The Senate having received form the house the returned papers with respect of S. 1198, the Actions of the Senate on September 8, 2022, are vitiated. The committee-reported substitute is withdrawn, the Tester amendment at the desk, number 5505, and the Bill as amended has passed.

3:43 p.m. Senator Durbin spoke about the release of US Navy Veteran Mark Frerichs, the Inflation Reduction Act and immigration.

3:34 p.m. RL McConnell spoke about inflation.

3:00 p.m. The Senate convened.

The Senate will convene at 3:00 p.m. and following any leader remarks will resume consideration of the nomination of Florence Pan to be a Circuit Judge for the District of Columbia Circuit.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., the Senate will vote on cloture on the Pan nomination.

Cloture has been filed on the resolution of ratification with respect to Treaty Document 117-1, the Amendment to Montreal Protocol (“Kigali Amendment”).

At a time to be determined, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination of Cathy Harris to be Chairman of the Merit Systems Protection Board.
