5:30 p.m. The Senate began voting on the motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Andrea Joan Palm to be Deputy Secretary of Health and Human Services. Cloture was invoked by a vote of 62-35.

5:11 p.m. Senator Blackburn spoke on employment.

4:48 p.m. Senator Grassley spoke on law enforcement and election fraud.

Cloture has also been filed on the nomination of Cynthia Marten to be Deputy Secretary of State for Political Affairs.
