The Senate adjourned at 7:30 p.m.  and will reconvene at 10:00 a.m. The next roll call vote will occur at 11:00a.m. There will be three votes:  Cloture vote on the Elliot nomination; House message to accompany 1605 (NDAA); Motion to Proceed to joint resolution to raise debt limit.

6:43 p.m. Senator Whitehouse spoke about nominations.

6:42 p.m. By a vote of 50-45, the Senate confirmed Lucy Koh to be a United States Circuit Judge for the Ninth Circuit.

5:50 p.m. The Senate began a role call vote on the nomination of Lucy Koh to be United States Circuit Judge for the Ninth Circuit.

5:44 p.m. Senator Padilla spoke about the Koh nomination.

5:31 p.m. Senator Tuberville spoke about Build Back Better and illegal drugs.

5:17 p.m. Senator Carper paid tribute to Senator Dole.

5:05 p.m. Senator Blackburn spoke about the NDAA.

4:38 p.m. Senator Sullivan spoke about nominations.

4:17 p.m. Senator Gillibrand spoke in support of the Military Justice Improvement and Increasing Prevention Act of 2021, S. 1520 and asked for unanimous consent for the Senate to consider S. 1520. Senator Reed objected.

4:06 p.m. Senator Grassley spoke about gun violence in schools, the Justice Department response and in support of the EAGLES Act S. 391.

3:45 p.m. Senator Merkley spoke about the tornadoes in Kentucky and the 2022 Beijing Olympic Games.

3:39 p.m. ML Schumer spoke about the tornadoes in Kentucky, Koh nomination, Build Back Better, debt limit and the NDAA.

3:29 p.m. RL McConnell spoke about the tornadoes in Kentucky.

3:00 p.m. the Senate convened.

The Senate will convene at 3:00 p.m. and following any Leader remarks, will resume consideration of Executive Calendar #576 Samantha Elliott to be United States District Judge for the District of New Hampshire.

At 5:30 p.m., the Senate will vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #486 Lucy Koh to be United States Circuit Judge for the Ninth Circuit.

Cloture votes will occur on Tuesday, December 14th at a time to be determined:
1. Samantha Elliott to be United States District Judge for the District of New Hampshire.
2. Motion to concur in the House amendment to S.1605, vehicle for NDAA.

At a time to be determined, the Senate will vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #533 Jennifer Sung to be United States Circuit Judge for the Ninth Circuit.
