3:33 p.m. By a vote of 53-43 the Senate agreed to the motion to recess. They will reconvene at 12:00 noon on Saturday, October 24.

2:57 p.m. By a party line vote of 53-43 the Senate agreed to the motion to table the Schumer appeal of the ruling of the Chair regarding the Schumer motion to adjourn until November 9 (with the ability to return in the case of a bipartisan Coronavirus agreement).

2:52 p.m. By a party line vote of 53- 44 the Senate agreed to the motion to table to motion to recommit the Amy Coney Barrett nomination to the Judiciary committee.

2:25 p.m. By a party line vote of 53-44 the Senate agreed to the Motion to table the motion to indefinitely postpone consideration of the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett.

1:31 p.m. Senator McConnell filed cloture on the nomination and spoke about the qualifications of the nominee.

1:30 p.m. The Senate began consideration of the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett.

1:29 p.m. The motion to proceed to executive session was agreed to by a vote of 51-46. Senators Collins and Murkowski voted nay. Senators Harris, Jones and Sinema did not vote.

1:17 p.m. The Senate resumed open session and proceeded to begin voting on the motion to proceed to executive session.

12:53 p.m. Senator McConnell asked unanimous consent to proceed to executive session. Senator Schumer made a motion to go to closed session. Senator Durbin seconded. The Senate proceeded to closed session. During closed session the motion to proceed to open session was agreed to.

12:51 p.m. The motion to proceed to legislation session was agreed to by a vote of 53-43.

12:18 p.m. The Senate began voting on the motion to proceed to legislative session.

12:17 p.m. A quorum was deemed present. Senator McConnell made a motion to go to legislative session.

12:00 p.m. The Senate convened. Senator McConnell made a motion to go to legislative session. Senator Schumer requested a quorum be called. A live quorum was called.

The Senate will convene at 12:00 noon.
