6:43 p.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on the confirmation of the nomination of William Briggs, to be Deputy Administrator of the Small Business Administration.

6:42 p.m. By a vote of 49-46, the Senate confirmed the nomination of Scott Kupor, of California, to be Director of the Office of Personnel Management for a term of four years. Senator Murkowski (R) voted no. Senators Graham, Murphy, Paul and Tillis did not vote.

6:00 p.m. The Senate is now voting on confirmation of Scott Kupor, of California, to be Director of the Office of Personnel Management for a term of four years.

2:39 p.m. By a vote of 53-43, the Senate confirmed the nomination of Bryan Bedford to be Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration. Democrat voting in favor: Shaheen. Senators not voting: Alsobrooks, Gallego, Murphy and Tillis.

2:05 p.m. The Senate returned from the recess and began voting on confirmation of the nomination of Bryan Bedford to be Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration.

12:43 p.m. The Senate stands in recess until 2:05.

12:42 p.m. By a vote of 51-46 the motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Scott Kupor to be Director of the Office of Personnel Management was not agreed to. Senator Murkowski voted no. Senators not voting: Gallego, Murphy and Tillis

12:11 p.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Scott Kupor to be Director of the Office of Personnel Management.

12:10 p.m. By a vote of 54-43, the Senate confirmed Preston Griffith to be Under Secretary of Energy. Independent Senator voting in favor: King. Senators not voting: Gallego, Hickenlooper, and Murphy.

11:27 a.m. The Senate is now voting on the motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Preston Griffith, of Virginia, to be Under Secretary of Energy

11:12 a.m. Senator Blumenthal spoke about the Department of Veterans Affairs.

10:41 a.m. Senator Barrasso achieved consent to adjust the timing of the return from the weekly caucus luncheons from 2:15 p.m. to 2:05 p.m. He then spoke about the reconciliation bill.

The Senate will convene at 10:00 a.m. and following any Leader Remarks will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of Executive Calendar #106, Preston Griffith, of Virginia, to be Under Secretary of Energy.

At approximately 11:30 a.m. the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Griffith nomination, followed by the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #81, Scott Kupor, of California, to be Director of the Office of Personnel Management for a term of four years.

The Senate will then recess until 2:15 p.m. to allow for weekly caucus meetings.

At approximately 2:15 p.m. the Senate will vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #197, Bryan Bedford, of Indiana, to be Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration for the term of five years, followed by a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #58, William Briggs, of Texas, to be Deputy Administrator of the Small Business Administration.

If cloture is invoked on the Kupor and Briggs nominations, the Senate will vote on confirmation of both nominations at approximately 5:45pm.
