  • S. 2983, a bill to reauthorize the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act of 2015 received its first reading.
  • By Unanimous Consent, notwithstanding Rule XXII, at a time to be determined by the Majority Leader in consultation with the Democratic Leader, no later than Friday, October 31, 2025, S.J.Res.77 and S.J.Res.81 will be discharged from the Committee on Finance and the Senate will proceed to their consideration.  There will be 6 hours for debate only for each resolution with the time equally divided between the Leaders or their designees on the joint resolution and following use or yielding back of time, the joint resolution will be read a third time and the Senate vote on the resolution.
  • By Unanimous Consent, the Senate agreed to S. Res. 440 and S. Res. 441, en bloc.

6:15 p.m. By a vote of 50-47, the Senate agreed to the motion to proceed to H.J. Res 104. This was a party-line vote. Senators Curtis, Sheehy and Tillis did not vote.

5:50 p.m. The Senate is currently voting on the motion to proceed to H.J.Res.104, a joint resolution providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Bureau of Land Management relating to “Miles City Field Office Record of Decision and Approved Resource Management Plan Amendment”.

The Senate will convene at 10:00 a.m. Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of the en bloc nominations provided for under the provisions of S.Res.412, post-cloture.

The Senate will recess from 12:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. to allow for the weekly caucus luncheons.
