4:06 p.m. Senator Cornyn spoke on tax season. He then spoke on childcare in the United States.

3:01 p.m. The Senate invoked cloture on the substitute amendment, 89-9-1. Senators voting no: Budd, Johnson, Lee, Murphy, Paul, Schatz, Scott (FL), Tuberville and Young. Senator Booker voted present, and Senator Shaheen did not vote.

2:15 p.m. The Senate returned and began a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Scott (SC)-Warren substitute amendment to H.R.6644, the Housing for the 21st Century Act.

At approximately 12:00 noon, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination of Lt. General Joshua Rudd to be General.

Following the Rudd confirmation vote, the Senate will then recess until 2:15 p.m. to allow for weekly caucus meetings. At approximately 2:15 p.m. the Senate will vote on cloture on the substitute amendment (#4308) to H.R.6644
