The Senate will convene at 2:00 p.m. and following the prayer and pledge Senator Kaine will be recognized to read President Washington’s farewell address.  Following the address and any Leader remarks, the Senate will be in a period of morning business.

At 5:00 p.m. the Senate will vote on cloture on the motion to proceed to HR 7147, DHS Appropriations for fiscal year 2026.

Later in the evening, the Senate will proceed as a body to the House of Representatives for the State of the Union Address.
