(DHS Funding). By unanimous consent, the Senate agreed to S. Res. 603, supporting the observation of National Trafficking and Modern Slavery Prevention Month.

3:02 p.m. By a vote of 47-51, the Senate did not agree to the motion to proceed to S.J. Res. 95, a joint resolution of disapproval of the rule submitted by the IRS. (Wyden). Senator Collins voted aye with Democrats. Senators McConnell and Smith did not vote.

The Senate will convene today at 10:00 a.m. Following Leader remarks, the Senate will be in a period of morning business with senators permitted to speak therein for up to ten minutes each.
At approximately 11:30 a.m., the Senate will vote on confirmation of Daniel E. Burrows to be an Assistant Attorney General.
Following the confirmation vote, the Senate will recess until 2:15 p.m. to allow for the weekly caucus meetings.
During Tuesday’s session, the Senate is expected to vote on a motion to proceed to S.J.Res.95, disapproving the rule submitted by the Internal Revenue Service relating to “Interim Guidance Simplifying Application of the Corporate Alternative Minimum Tax to Partnerships”.
