The Senate convened today 12:00 noon for a pro forma session with no business conducted. Senator Todd Young presided.

The Senate will convene for one further pro forma session this month, on Friday August 29th at 7:00 a.m. with no business expected.

The Senate will next convene for business on Tuesday, September 2nd at 3:00 p.m. At that time, following any Leader remarks, the Senate will resume the motion to proceed toS.2296, National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2026.

At 5:30 p.m. the Senate will vote on cloture on the motion to proceed of S. 2296, National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2026.
