At approximately 5:30 p.m. the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to H.R. 6644, Housing for the 21st Century Act.

1:04 p.m. Senator Kaine spoke about an Iran war powers resolution.

12:50 p.m. Senators Murkowski and Cortez-Masto spoke about H.R. 2815-Cape Fox Land Entitlement Finalization Act of 2025 and H.R. 972-Sloan Canyon Conservation and Lateral Pipeline Act. Senator Murkowski sought unanimous consent to adopt the bills en bloc. Senator Padilla initially objected but then allowed the bills to be passed.

12:36 p.m. By a vote of 60-34, the Senate invoked cloture on the nomination of Ryan McCormack to be Under Secretary of Transportation for Policy.

10:25 a.m. Minority Leader Schumer spoke on peace talks with Iran. He then spoke on the Epstein files and President Trump.

10:13 a.m. Majority Leader Thune spoke on taxes. He then filed cloture on the motion to proceed to Calendar #343, H.R. 6644, Housing for the 21st Century Act.

The Senate will convene at 10:00 a.m. and following any leader remarks will resume consideration of Executive Calendar #651 Ryan McCormack to be Under Secretary of Transportation for Policy. 

At approximately 11:45 a.m. the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the McCormack nomination.

If cloture is invoked on the McCormack nomination, the Senate will vote on confirmation at approximately 1:45pm.
