The Senate convened at 9:00 a.m. for a pro forma session. Senator Lankford presided and no business was conducted.

The Senate will convene for pro forma sessions on the following dates and times, with no business expected:

• Tuesday, August 26th 12:00 noon
• Friday, August 29th at 7:00 a.m.

The Senate will next convene for business on Tuesday, September 2 at 3:00 p.m. At that time, following any Leader remarks, the Senate will resume the motion to proceed to S.2296, National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

At 5:30 p.m. the Senate will vote on cloture on the motion to proceed of S. 2296.
